About the Role
We are looking for a Python Engineer to join Flock Safety, a leading safety technology platform. This role focuses on developing and maintaining the software tools and validation processes that keep our production lines moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- →Write and own Python scripts that serve as the core framework for all device testing and validation
- →Develop Python-based automation to interface with Android systems, Qualcomm processors, and microcontrollers
- →Build test suites using Python and Bash to verify hardware functionality
- →Implement monitoring and failure tracking in Datadog for real-time production health visibility
- →Debug, deploy builds, and run validation code across various device environments
- →Use lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to verify hardware performance
- →Manage validation data using Postgres and AWS infrastructure
- →Design testing protocols and timelines to ensure smooth product transitions from prototype to production
- →Collaborate with the engineering team to improve automation and reliability of validation processes
Requirements
- ✓Strong Python programming skills with experience in automation and testing frameworks
- ✓Experience with Bash scripting and command-line tools
- ✓Knowledge of Android systems, Qualcomm processors, and microcontrollers
- ✓Familiarity with database systems like Postgres
- ✓Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- ✓Ability to use lab equipment for hardware verification
- ✓Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog
