About the Role
We are looking for a Content Manager to lead the creative and editorial direction of FloHockey at FloSports. This role combines content strategy, team management, and hockey storytelling to create engaging content for sports fans.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the creative and editorial strategy for FloHockey across social, video, and written platforms
- →Lead and manage a team of hockey content creators
- →Build content plans around major events, leagues, and moments
- →Drive social-first content creation with an emphasis on short-form video and real-time storytelling
- →Track content performance and translate analytics into actionable insights
- →Assign coverage, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met
- →Hire, onboard, and manage freelancers and contributors
- →Collaborate with marketing, growth, product, rights, and sales teams
- →Ensure all content aligns with FloSports brand standards
- →Edit content for clarity, accuracy, tone, and quality
- →Act as a player-coach, creating and posting content as needed
Requirements
- ✓Deep knowledge of hockey culture, leagues, and storylines
- ✓Experience managing content creators in digital or sports media
- ✓Strong background in social media content strategy, especially video and monetization
- ✓Excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail
- ✓Experience using analytics to inform content decisions
- ✓Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live-events-driven environment
- ✓Highly organized, proactive, and accountable
