About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Designer specializing in Curtainwall Systems to join our Technical Services Division at Flynn Group of Companies. This role involves solving complex detailing issues and creating fabrication drawings for building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Recognize and solve basic and advanced Curtain wall/Window detailing issues
- →Read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings
- →Foresee and address curtain wall issues as they arise
- →Organize and schedule projects and draftspersons
- →Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications
- →Supervise, coach, and mentor junior draftspersons
- →Plan and execute Curtain Wall/Window shop and fabrication drawings
- →Ensure all project aspects are addressed in final shop drawing packages
- →Plan project execution through correspondence with various teams
- →Demonstrate understanding of building science and construction sequencing
- →Check fabrication releases
Requirements
- ✓Completion of Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Architecture, Engineering or Building Science
- ✓Comprehensive experience in a similar role in the curtainwall industry
- ✓Skilled user of AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit
- ✓Ability to read plans and specifications
- ✓Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
