About the Role
The Formlabs Product Design Team is looking for a Senior Software Product Designer to shape the design and development of user experience and interfaces across our embedded, desktop, and web products. You will collaborate across creative and engineering disciplines to create products that empower customers to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- →Deeply understand the needs of Formlabs customers, translating their insights into innovative features.
- →Collaborate closely with engineering to refine designs and bring them to life, driving features from wireframes to prototypes and through to public release.
- →Partner with product managers to ideate, define, and validate early-stage concepts for new features.
- →Conduct in-depth research by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing product usage data, creating high-fidelity prototypes, and validating assumptions with usability studies.
- →Conduct regular audits of the end-to-end user experience across our ecosystem and propose impactful initiatives to leadership.
- →Help design, grow, and maintain robust and scalable design systems that ensure consistency and efficiency across all products.
Requirements
- ✓Proven track record of working on complex, technical products, ideally with experience spanning desktop, web, mobile, or embedded interfaces.
- ✓Clear understanding of human-computer interaction principles, executing them effectively and communicating design intentions clearly to collaborators.
- ✓Strong and diverse portfolio that includes early-stage ideation, user research, and pixel-perfect designs.
- ✓Deep expertise with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- ✓Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working closely with product and engineering teams.
