About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Lead to join Formlabs, a company that builds tools enabling anyone to bring their ideas to life through 3D printing technology. This role involves driving the technical development of complex electro-mechanical products and leading architectural decisions across engineering domains.

Key Responsibilities

→Partner with the Product Team to define product-level performance goals
→Lead architectural down-selection across all engineering domains
→Champion shipping a great product and be responsible for final performance
→Work with domain experts to define subsystem requirements and interfaces
→Guide team members through technical implementation
→Identify program risks and drive team focus towards important work

Requirements

✓Experience leading technical development of complex electro-mechanical products
✓Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, material science, motion control, and embedded code
✓Demonstrated success across the entire product lifecycle
✓Comfortable with a culture of healthy debate and can defend design decisions with objective data
✓Experience working effectively with all levels of management
✓High standards for engineering work and ability to offer constructive feedback
