About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager - Retail (Safes) to support our leading Security brands like Master Lock and SentrySafe. This role plays a pivotal part in managing the Safe portfolio as a business.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop long range strategic plans with annual updates for product, channel, process, and business opportunities
- →Plan and manage new product development projects through the entirety of a stage-gate process
- →Drive category captain leadership with external customers by leveraging analytics/insights
- →Deliver on P&L targets for assigned product categories
- →Manage the full lifecycle for the assigned portfolio from NPD through obsolescence and inventory disposition
- →Leverage market research and consumer understanding to identify new product opportunities
- →Plan product line pricing, pricing strategy and manage profitability
- →Collaborate with Brand, Channel Marketing, Digital and Commercialization teams
- →Train internal and external customers on products, marketing programs and business developments
- →Respond to daily customer and field sales inquiries, requests, and concerns
- →Develop library and database of relevant markets and competitors
Requirements
- ✓Experience in product management, preferably in retail or security industry
- ✓Strong strategic planning and execution abilities
- ✓Excellent analytical skills and market research capabilities
- ✓Ability to influence multiple stakeholders internally and externally
- ✓Experience with P&L management and profitability analysis
- ✓Knowledge of stage-gate processes for new product development
- ✓Strong communication and presentation skills
- ✓Ability to travel occasionally to key accounts and end users
