About the Role
We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team at FreeBalance. This role involves overall solution design, deployment, and quality assurance for portal and e-services. The developer will also assist with setting product direction and evaluating new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- βParticipate in all phases of full life-cycle development including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, deployment, training and user guide preparation
- βEmploy best practices and standardized IT methodology during Analysis, Requirements and Detail Design phases
- βPrepare all required technical documents, reports, plans and outputs for customers
- βDesign and develop IT software to resolve business requirements
- βResponsible for technical planning, architectural development and modifications to specifications
- βMaintain software application designs to align with business requirements
- βAssess compatibility and integration of products/services to ensure integrated architecture
Requirements
- βUniversity degree in Computer Science, software/database or related technology programs
- β10+ years Java design and development experience in progressive roles
- βExperience as a Software Architect with knowledge of complex scalable web-based application solutions
- βExpertise with Spring and Hibernate based solutions
- βExperience with enterprise ERP product architectures
- βExcellent oral and written communication skills in English
- βAbility to work independently or as part of a team
- βPrevious experience in the public sector considered an asset
- βAbility to travel as required
