About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join Freshworks and build scalable systems that drive our global products. This role focuses on designing reliable, high-performance backend services with a strong emphasis on code quality and system stability.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build scalable backend services that handle millions of transactions reliably
- →Own the full development lifecycle from high-level design to deployment and debugging
- →Write clean, modular, and testable code optimized for readability and performance
- →Apply deep OOPS concepts and design patterns to solve engineering problems
- →Ensure systems are tuned for high availability, fault tolerance, and observability
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer value
- →Follow engineering best practices to elevate overall code quality
- →Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in production
Requirements
- ✓3 to 5 years of experience building and scaling backend systems
- ✓Expertise in Data Structures & Algorithms and REST APIs
- ✓Strong problem-solving and logical analysis skills
- ✓Solid command of OOP principles and design patterns
- ✓Proven ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant systems
- ✓Exposure to RDBMS, caching strategies, distributed queues, and microservices
- ✓Experience with AI tools and technologies
- ✓Demonstrated ownership and collaboration abilities
