We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the Core Product Experience team at a genuine inflection point. This role will own and lead design for Frontβs core inbox experience, raise the bar for quality and craft as the product scales, and shape decisions that affect every team and customer who relies on Front every day.
What will you be doing?
- Lead end-to-end design for Frontβs core inbox and app experience, from identifying the right problems to shipping high-quality solutions.
- Own a product area and set direction, defining experience principles and a cohesive vision that other teams can build on.
- Drive discovery and research by planning and running customer interviews, usability sessions, and concept tests, and translating insights into clear product strategy and design decisions.
- Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to define scope, requirements, and success metrics, and to ship solutions that hold up under real-world operational complexity.
- Design systems-level interactions and workflows that balance power and usability for high-frequency, high-stakes customer support work.
- Design across web, desktop, and mobile, ensuring the experience is consistent while meeting users where they work.
- Use prototyping as a core tool to explore, align, and de-risk solutions, from early concepts through high-fidelity interaction models.
- Advocate for craft and clarity in tradeoffs around timeline, technical constraints, and user impact, and make principled decisions when information is incomplete.
- Influence and scale design quality by strengthening patterns, contributing to the design system, and creating clear, reusable documentation.
- Raise the teamβs bar through feedback, critique, and mentorship, helping build a culture where strong craft and thoughtful collaboration are the default.
What skills and experience do you need?
- 7+ years designing and shipping complex products across web and mobile; experience with enterprise, operations-critical, or workflow-heavy software is a strong plus.
- A portfolio that demonstrates senior-level ownership: tackling ambiguous problems, driving strategy and alignment, and delivering outcomes. Prototypes required.
- Strong product thinking and the ability to connect design decisions to measurable customer and business impact.
- Experience designing AI-powered experiences, including setting appropriate expectations, designing for trust and control, and iterating based on real usage. This work should be represented in your portfolio.
- Comfort using AI tools in your design practice to accelerate exploration, iteration, and collaboration, while maintaining a high bar for quality and coherence.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct independent research, including recruiting, interviewing, synthesis, and influencing product direction with insights.
- Experience contributing to and evolving design systems with scalable structure, clear patterns, and usable documentation.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills: you communicate clearly, bring others along, and work with low ego while holding a high bar for the work.
