Senior Full Stack Engineer — Platform Extensions at Fueledcareers

Location: Remote — Anywhere (Open to applicants located anywhere around the globe.) Fueled is a leading digital strategy, design, and engineering agency. We are a 300+ person team that has designed and built hundreds of digital products and experiences for brands like Google, Apple, The New York Times, ESPN, Victoria’s Secret, MGM Resorts, Albertsons, and CLEAR. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on our Platform Extensions team, you will build and evolve integrations that connect platforms like WordPress, WooCommerce, and Webflow with partner ecosystems such as Google and others. You’ll work across backend and frontend systems to deliver features that are used at scale, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and partner teams. This role is well-suited for engineers who enjoy thinking beyond individual tasks — contributing to technical decisions, improving systems over time, and taking ownership of features from initial concept through ongoing iteration. Together, we’re shaping the future of digital experiences. What you will do: • Build and evolve platform integrations. You will develop and maintain robust plugins, services, and integrations that seamlessly connect platforms like WordPress, WooCommerce, and Webflow with external partner ecosystems. • Work across the full stack. You will write clean, tested code for both backend systems (PHP, APIs, data handling) and frontend experiences (modern JavaScript, React) to deliver cohesive, user-focused features. • Shape product direction and architecture. You will participate in technical planning, estimation, and architectural discussions that directly influence the long-term success and scalability of the products you support. • Collaborate cross-functionally. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and external partner teams to shape requirements, define elegant solutions, and deliver value incrementally. • Drive modern, healthy delivery practices. You will incorporate emerging AI-assisted workflows to boost team productivity, actively reduce technical debt, debug existing codebases, and participate in code reviews to ensure maximum reliability. What you will achieve: • Week 1: You will hit the ground running, integrating with our cross-functional team and getting acquainted with our existing project architecture and workflows. • First Month: You will take ownership of your first features, writing maintainable code across the stack while collaborating with product and partner teams to successfully push incremental value to production. • Month 6: You will have delivered meaningful improvements to widely-used platform integrations at scale, successfully navigating complex platform interactions and building systems that adapt as partner needs evolve. • Team Impact: You will contribute to a sustainable, collaborative development pace by fostering accountability, sharing knowledge, and helping the team continuously improve how work gets done. • Career Growth: You will grow your ability to take deep technical ownership of features from concept through delivery, establishing yourself as an engineering leader who designs solutions across complex platform boundaries. About you: • You are a versatile full stack engineer. You are highly comfortable working across both backend and frontend technologies, possessing strong, proven experience in PHP and modern JavaScript (including frameworks like React). • You are a systems integrator. You have significant experience building or contributing to web applications, APIs, or platform integrations, and you enjoy untangling the complexities of systems that connect multiple services. • You possess a strong product mindset. You think beyond mere implementation. You focus heavily on how features deliver real value to users and approach problems holistically to ensure long-term product success. • You value quality and craftsmanship. You write clean, maintainable code, are adept at debugging and extending existing systems, and are endlessly curious to learn new tools—including leveraging AI workflows to improve your craft. • You are a reliable collaborator. You are highly organized and manage your work effectively in cross-functional environments, effortlessly coordinating with external stakeholders and contributing to a shared team cadence.
