About the Role
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Data Scientist & Developer at Galvanick, a startup focused on protecting industrial systems against cyber attacks. You will work with cybersecurity experts to develop tools and platforms for threat detection.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with Detection Engineers to translate requirements into data and analytical tools
- →Develop tools and extend our data platform to meet detection requirements
- →Create methods to evaluate detection accuracy and reduce false positives
- →Develop data models highlighting behavioral patterns indicative of cyber threats
- →Perform exploratory data analysis on security events to uncover attack patterns
- →Generate metrics and KPIs measuring detection coverage and data utilization
- →Contribute to our library of reusable analytical patterns
- →Contribute to core platform development including data infrastructure
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Engineering, or related field
- ✓Strong programming skills with Python or Go
- ✓Advanced database skills: schema design, query optimization, data modeling
- ✓Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- ✓Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with noisy data sets
