About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Leader to help shape the technical direction of our AI native, enterprise grade products at Giga. This role involves leading complex projects, making architectural decisions that affect the whole platform, and raising the bar for engineering quality across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead complex projects and make architectural decisions that affect the whole platform
- →Drive technical initiatives across the company
- →Design how our agent infrastructure should evolve as we scale
- →Own the most ambiguous, highest-stakes projects where getting it wrong would hurt the business
- →Identify gaps in our systems before they become problems and build the case for addressing them
- →Set standards for code review, system design, and operational excellence
- →Mentor other engineers and help them grow
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of engineering experience, with a track record of leading complex projects
- ✓Experience hiring teams from scratch
- ✓Strong opinions about how systems should be built, and the ability to articulate the tradeoffs
- ✓Ability to take a vague problem and turn it into a clear technical approach without much guidance
- ✓Excellent coding skills and the ability to hold others to a high standard without being a bottleneck
- ✓Experience building systems that scaled and understanding what breaks at each order of magnitude
