About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Platforms at GitLab to build and support a high-performing team that keeps our platforms secure, reliable, and scalable. This role focuses on hiring, coaching, and developing team members while creating an environment where they can deliver strong results.
Key Responsibilities
- →Hire, lead, and support a high-performing Infrastructure Platforms team
- →Connect business goals and customer needs with sound engineering
- →Own agile delivery for your team, including planning, prioritization, and execution of projects
- →Guide the security, reliability, performance, and scalability of core platform components
- →Collaborate across Infrastructure Platforms, other Infrastructure groups, Support, and Customer Success
- →Dive into technical discussions and reviews, helping to unblock complex issues
- →Encourage continuous improvement in how we run our services
- →Participate in the Incident Management on-call rotation
Requirements
- ✓Experience leading infrastructure, platform, or development teams at scale
- ✓Excellent technical background, including strong infrastructure and platforms experience
- ✓Strong expertise in running and scaling large, consumer-grade platforms
- ✓Ability to hire, develop, and coach team members
- ✓Effective cross-functional collaboration skills
- ✓Ability to deep dive into complex technical issues
- ✓Experience managing remote, globally distributed teams
- ✓Passion for open source and developer tools
