About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Bluetooth Software Engineer to join Motive’s team and shape next-generation connectivity solutions. This role involves driving the design, architecture, and development of Bluetooth Classic and BLE features across embedded platforms and mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the architecture, design, and development of Bluetooth Classic and BLE features for embedded platforms and smartphones (iOS and Android).
- →Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor, guiding team members on best practices for wireless development and debugging.
- →Collaborate with product, hardware, and mobile teams to define end-to-end Bluetooth connectivity requirements and solutions.
- →Debug, optimize, and validate wireless protocols and firmware across multi-core embedded systems and mobile OS environments.
- →Design and implement automated testing frameworks for Bluetooth validation and interoperability.
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of experience in wireless connectivity or embedded software development, with significant focus on Bluetooth Classic and BLE.
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- ✓Strong programming experience in C/C++ for embedded systems, and Java/Kotlin/Swift for mobile platforms.
- ✓Deep expertise in Bluetooth stacks, profiles, pairing/bonding mechanisms, custom services, and performance optimization.
- ✓Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- ✓Hands-on experience with iOS CoreBluetooth and Android Bluetooth APIs.
- ✓Understanding of wireless coexistence challenges and mitigation strategies.
