THE TEAMS YOU COULD BE JOINING
Realtime Communication Team Powers the core ticket processing pipeline underpinning Gorgias's helpdesk, owns real-time event fanout to internal applications (including our AI Agent) and third-party integrations. The team also maintains and develops voice and SMS channels.
Messaging Team Owns the core asynchronous messaging infrastructure within Gorgias, enabling agents to manage customer conversations across email, chat, and social channels, it's both the gateway and proxy between Gorgias and the outside world.
Growth Team Manages the user journey from onboarding to billing, ensuring a seamless experience while preventing fraudsters from abusing the platform.
In-App Analytics Team Creates in-product analytics and real-time processing features, supporting internal teams with advanced tooling and datasets.
Streaming Infrastructure Team Builds a scalable data streaming platform, providing tooling, monitoring, and guidelines to propagate and aggregate data across multiple availability zones
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Team up with Product and Design to build clean, responsive, and super-fast features that solve real customer problems.
- Optimize our apps for speed and scalability, ensuring they work smoothly on any browser
- Write clear, maintainable code, and follow best practicesβwhile keeping things flexible and pragmatic.
- Work in an agile environment, collaborate on code reviews, and help us ship top-notch features quickly.
WHO YOU ARE
- Youβve got 5+ years of experience with TypeScript and React.
- You know the ins and outs of the frontend stackβCDN, Cache, bundlers (vite, webpack/rspack), test runners (jest/vitest), CI/CD.
- Youβve worked in high-traffic environments β where scalability and performance are crucial.
- Youβre comfortable balancing frontend and backend needs and can give thoughtful input on API design.
- You follow best practices, but you're not afraid to make smart trade-offs when necessary. You build scalable and reliable frontend applications:
- You leverage React composition model to build reusable, well tested and flexible components.
- You're familiar with modern async state handling (react-query).
- Inversion of control and the testing pyramid are familiar concepts to you.
- You know how to build great UIs that look good and feel even better, using modern CSS and UX principles.
Nice to have: Youβre familiar with WebSockets.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Pnpm for tooling
- Youβre familiar with frontend UI/UX scaling topics like design systems
- Youβre interested in frontend architecture and platform work
INTERVIEW PROCESS
Our interview process consists of 4 main steps and typically takes around two weeks from the initial screening to the offer stage, with feedback provided every 48 hours.
1. Meet one of our tech recruiters (30 minutes)
2. Meet two of our Engineering Managers (45 minutes)
3. Technical Stage: live coding session (60 minutes) Meet the team (60 minutes)

After completing these steps, we conduct reference checks before extending an offer.
