About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Grab. This role focuses on driving technical direction and delivering reliable, scalable systems for Grab's payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- →Set technical direction for backend services and lead the design of systems that improve availability, scalability, latency, and overall performance
- →Write high-quality Go code and guide others toward engineering practices through design and code reviews
- →Guide architectural improvements across Payments, partnering with engineers across teams to build systems that scale with growing demand
- →Work with infrastructure teams to evolve service foundations, improve observability, and ensure smooth rollout of new capabilities
- →Mentor engineers, help them grow in technical depth, and create a healthy, collaborative engineering environment
- →Collaborate with product and design teams to shape features, validate assumptions, and build reliable user-facing experiences
Requirements
- ✓Experience driving technical direction and leading engineering teams
- ✓Strong background in backend services and system design
- ✓Proficiency in Go programming language
- ✓Experience with scalability, performance optimization, and observability
