About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Maps & Localization Engineer to join our team developing robotics and autonomy capabilities for complex urban environments in Southeast Asia. This hands-on role will architect, design, and deliver systems that provide vehicles with precise localization in challenging urban settings.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect and lead the end-to-end pipeline for creating high-definition (HD) maps
- →Build large-scale SLAM development for consistent, high-accuracy 3D point clouds
- →Fuse LiDAR/camera/IMU/GNSS data to build semantically rich HD maps
- →Design and implement the on-vehicle localization system
- →Develop advanced state estimation filters for robust localization
- →Guide the technical vision and roadmap for mapping and localization efforts
- →Mentor other engineers in state estimation, computer vision, and large-scale geometry
Requirements
- ✓Expertise in SLAM and sensor fusion technologies
- ✓Experience with LiDAR, camera, IMU, and GNSS systems
- ✓Strong background in state estimation filters like Kalman filters and factor graphs
- ✓Proficiency in computer vision and large-scale geometry
- ✓Leadership experience in technical teams
- ✓Ability to work in a challenging urban robotics environment
