About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Maps & Localization Engineer to join our robotics team in Singapore. This hands-on role will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering systems that provide vehicles with precise localization in complex urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect and own the end-to-end pipeline for creating and maintaining high-definition (HD) maps
- →Develop large-scale SLAM to produce globally consistent, high-accuracy 3D point clouds
- →Fuse LiDAR/camera/IMU/GNSS data to build semantically rich, geo-referenced HD maps
- →Design and implement the on-vehicle localization system using multiple sensors
- →Develop advanced state estimation filters for robust localization in challenging environments
- →Drive the technical vision and roadmap for mapping and localization efforts
- →Mentor other engineers in state estimation, computer vision, and large-scale geometry
Requirements
- ✓Expertise in SLAM, sensor fusion, and state estimation techniques
- ✓Experience with HD map creation, maintenance, and distribution
- ✓Strong background in LiDAR, camera, IMU, and GNSS technologies
- ✓Proficiency in developing Kalman filters and factor graphs
- ✓Experience with production-grade mapping pipelines and localization systems
- ✓Leadership experience in technical teams
- ✓Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
