About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Principal Engineer to join Grab's SuperApp ecosystem. This role focuses on shaping the technical trajectory of a 300+ engineer organization within the BECO (Business Ecosystem) that powers foundational platforms connecting merchants, consumers, ads, transactions, search, and intelligence.

→Unifying siloed platforms into a cohesive ecosystem
→Accelerating new businesses with AI-native architecture
→Turn AI into engineering leverage by architecting and scaling AI-assisted development workflows
→Build reliability that feels invisible by raising prevention standards across critical systems
→Break platform silos by designing connective tissue for unified ecosystems
→Architect for pattern-breaking growth by designing clean 0→1 foundations

Requirements

✓Experience with AI-assisted development workflows
✓Strong background in reliability engineering and chaos engineering
✓Expertise in system architecture and data infrastructure
✓Ability to design clean foundations and execution models
✓Experience with AI-native product experiences
✓Ability to operate across multiple departments and influence an entire engineering organization
✓Reporting directly to the Head of BECO
