About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Assist & Chat teams within Superhuman Go. This role involves building and scaling a pervasive AI assistant that proactively surfaces agents to help users before they even have to ask.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and grow a team of 8+ engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a high-performance engineering culture
- →Own the technical direction for proactive agent surfacing
- →Drive the development of models that interpret user activity and match them with relevant agents
- →Build evaluation frameworks to measure model quality and user impact
- →Ship compelling user-facing products across multiple platforms
- →Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, ML research, and platform teams
- →Balance technical ambition with pragmatic execution
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 5+ engineers
- ✓Hands-on experience with ML models, with a strong intuition for model quality
- ✓Experience shipping user-facing products at scale
- ✓Strong technical breadth across browser/extension development, ML/AI infrastructure, and full-stack product engineering
- ✓Experience building systems across diverse surfaces
- ✓Track record of managing ambiguity in fast-moving product areas
- ✓Clear communication and influence across engineering, product, design, and leadership
- ✓Enthusiasm for building proactive AI experiences
