About the Role

The Market Compliance Manager provides support for Retail and Production operations teams, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and standards across their assigned market. This role integrates compliance activities and oversees regulatory functions to maintain business integrity.

Key Responsibilities

→Serve as the subject matter expert on state regulations and collaborate with partners to understand their impact on the business.
→Act as the company’s single point of contact with regulatory agencies, supporting proactive communication and follow-up actions.
→Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, and industry standards, coordinating operational improvements with key partners.
→Track, monitor, and analyze regulatory requirement changes and external communications from regulators.
→Ensure business compliance through documentation, monitoring, auditing, and reporting activities.
→Manage packaging and labeling activities within THCvault, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting submissions.
→Optimize policies, procedures, and processes through technology, analytics, and continuous improvement.
→Conduct risk assessments and develop corrective action plans to address regulatory gaps.
→Address adverse events, product quality concerns, and recalls in collaboration with key partners.
→Visit assigned sites to ensure compliance and recommend improvements to leadership.
→Coordinate reporting to regulators and senior leadership on major regulatory issues.

Requirements

✓Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance or regulatory functions, preferably in highly regulated industries like cannabis or pharmaceuticals.
✓Unassailable integrity and ethics.
✓Ability to adapt to a demanding, fast-paced environment.
✓Experience establishing and communicating compliance procedures and policies.
✓Experience developing strategic initiatives aligned with business goals.
✓Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
✓Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
✓Ability to travel up to 20%.
✓Must pass background checks and possess a valid driver’s license.
✓Must be at least 21 years of age and compliant with industry regulations.
