What Impact You'll Have
The Senior Mission Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the Mission Solutions Group (MSG) by driving effective solution architecture development, providing strong technical leadership, and fostering strategic collaboration. This role is responsible for developing and sustaining corporate technical capabilities within the Mission Solutions domain, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs. Key responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of solution architectures, assessing and interpreting opportunity requirements, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, innovative, and high-value solutions. What You'll be Owning
β’ Corporate Technical Capabilities
β’ Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's technical capabilities and ongoing development initiatives.
β’ Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) when required, providing insights and guidance on technical matters.
β’ Solution Architecture Development
β’ Lead the end-to-end development of solution architectures that are both achievable by the company and usable by customers.
β’ Manage complex and competitive opportunities from the initial concept phase through to solution development.
β’ Opportunity Evaluation
β’ Assess opportunity requirements, ranging from capture estimates to final customer requests.
β’ Develop a technical vision for success that aligns with current and projected corporate capabilities.
β’ Identify potential teammates and partners to enhance solution development.
β’ Technical Accountability
β’ Act as the single point of technical accountability for solutions throughout the capture process, ensuring alignment with customer needs and corporate goals.
β’ Team Leadership
β’ Build, manage, and lead cross-functional teams composed of subject matter experts, operational experts, and business development professionals.
β’ Collaborate closely with Capture and technical/operational leadership to shape compliant and competitive solutions.
β’ Proposal Development Support
β’ Support the proposal development process as needed, which includes authorship, participation in color team reviews, and overseeing final proposal production.
β’ Independent Research and Development (IRAD)
β’ Identify, propose, and lead IRAD initiatives that support corporate technical roadmaps and anticipated opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
What You Must Have
β’ Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
β’ Experience: A minimum of 20 years of experience in developing solutions that meet customer requirements and align with long-term corporate goals.
β’ Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical teams effectively.
β’ Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering disciplines, Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes, and competitive dynamics within the industry.
β’ Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to develop a compelling technical vision.
β’ Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior customers and industry stakeholders.
β’ Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in technical or engineering discipline is required.
