ABOUT GUMLOOP
Gumloop is the AI automation platform for the enterprise. We give teams the power to easily build and deploy AI agents, in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or standalone, that automate real work across hundreds of integrations with no engineering background required.
The platform has three pillars:
1. Agents β Conversational AI assistants that use tools (integrations, workflows, code sandbox, MCP servers) to accomplish open-ended tasks. Unlike workflows that follow fixed paths, agents decide which tools to use and when, adapting based on context. Users configure agents with a system prompt, a model, and a set of tools. Agents can be deployed to a chat UI, Slack, or Microsoft Teams, and can run autonomously via scheduled or event-based triggers.
2. Workflows β Visual, drag-and-drop automations composed of connected nodes on a canvas. Each node is a discrete operation (call an API, run AI, read a spreadsheet, send an email). Workflows are deterministic and repeatable. They can be triggered manually, on a schedule, via webhook, or by external events (new email, Slack message, etc.). Workflows can also be attached to agents as callable tools β the agent orchestrates, the workflow executes.
3. Gumstack β Enterprise-grade MCP hosting, observability, and AI governance. Organizations provision managed MCP servers, control which AI models are available, audit every tool call, and enforce security policies across all agents and workflows
We're moving fast. Teams at Gusto, Ramp, Shopify, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor are already building and deploying AI agents on Gumloop to automate real work across their organizations. That's not a demo. That's production.
We've raised $70M from Benchmark, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Nexus Ventures, Shopify Ventures, BoxGroup, and The Cannon Project to build a world class team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Solutions Engineer at Gumloop, you'll work directly with customers to turn their highest-value automation opportunities into production reality on our platform. You'll lead pilots and initial onboarding for new customers, partner with account teams to drive adoption and expansion within existing accounts, and serve as the technical authority customers rely on from first conversation through scale.
This is a hands-on, full-lifecycle role. You'll scope solutions, build them on the platform, get them running reliably, and make sure customers can take ownership and keep building. You own outcomes, not just demos.
WHAT YOUβLL DO
- Pilot new customers end-to-end β scope the right use cases, build working solutions on the platform, and drive to production.
- Run onboarding and activation β train customer teams to build, iterate, and scale their own automations and agents.
- Partner with account teams on existing customers to find new automation opportunities across departments and get them deployed.
- Be the trusted technical advisor customers rely on for architecture decisions, best practices, and getting the most out of Gumloop.
- Drive adoption and value realization that leads to retention and expansion
- Be the voice of the customer back to Product and Engineering β translating field patterns into product feedback, feature requests, and roadmap input.
- Build reusable templates, reference architectures, and enablement content that scale beyond 1:1 engagements.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Have held a customer-facing technical role (FDE, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, or similar) and owned outcomes through to production.
- Are a builder, not just an advisor. You'll scope it, prototype it, and iterate until it works reliably.
- Have strong technical fundamentals β comfortable with APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and can read/write code (Python, JS/TS).
- Have hands-on experience with AI/LLM-powered applications β prompt engineering, agent architectures, evaluation, or automation frameworks.
- Can lead a room β effective with engineering teams and C-suite alike, translating technical capabilities into business impact.
- Thrive in ambiguity and move fast. You're defining the playbook, not following one.
BONUS
- Experience with automation/workflow platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, Retool, or similar).
- Background in consulting, professional services, or implementation at a high-growth SaaS company.
- Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance concerns (SOC 2, SSO/SCIM, VPC deployments).
