About the Role
HALA is a leading fintech player in the MENAP region seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale, distributed data infrastructure. This role will power advanced analytics and real-time intelligence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect and maintain robust real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Debezium, and Confluent connectors
- →Implement robust CDC pipelines for efficient message delivery and data integrity
- →Develop and automate ETL/ELT workflows within platforms like Dataiku or custom Python/SQL frameworks
- →Administer and tune large-scale Oracle databases for analytical workloads
- →Design data models supporting both operational reporting and advanced analytics
- →Build and manage integrations across hybrid environments
- →Create metadata, lineage, and quality monitoring tools for datasets
- →Partner with analytics and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Requirements
- ✓Deep technical expertise in Kafka-based CDC pipelines
- ✓Experience with cloud data warehousing solutions
- ✓Strong database optimization skills, particularly with Oracle
- ✓Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT frameworks
- ✓Experience with data governance and automation tools
- ✓Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
