About the Role
Handshake is seeking a Support Specialist, Contractor to provide support to employer, student, and career services users. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving complex technical issues while building strong relationships with customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide email and phone support to Handshake customers via internal ticketing systems
- →Resolve questions, bugs, feedback, and general inquiries
- →Attend team meetings and complete administrative tasks
- →Use app demo environments, troubleshooting tools, and internal documentation to find quality answers
- →Maintain high standards for response times, resolution times, and customer support quality
- →Act as both a support specialist and consultant for Handshake platform users
- →Utilize internal tools to manage issues between Customer Support, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
Requirements
- ✓Located in AZ, DC, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NM, NV, NJ, NY, OR, PA, SD, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI
- ✓Available Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm Eastern time
- ✓Technical aptitude to learn tools and concepts quickly
- ✓Resilience and comfort with change and ambiguity
- ✓Strong teamwork and communication skills
- ✓Results-oriented with high accountability
- ✓Passion for helping people build careers
