About the Role

The Senior Sales Engineer at Harness plays a critical role at the intersection of sales and engineering. This position requires the ability to articulate technology and product positioning at executive, business, and technical levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, ensuring success with all Harness customers.

Key Responsibilities

→Deliver world-class presentations and demos of the Harness platform
→Work directly with customers to debug common errors
→Tie business problems to technical solutions
→Understand and articulate technology value propositions
→Drive complex technical engagements with customers to prove the value of Harness solutions
→Represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences and seminars
→Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in technologies
→Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
→Convey customer requirements to Engineering teams
→Travel throughout a sales territory with minimal restrictions and occasionally on short notice

Requirements

✓Strong cloud knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation such as Terraform
✓Either actively develop software, have a prior background as a developer, or worked with developers in a DevOps role
✓Excellent presentation and communication skills
✓Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts
✓Experience with RFIs/RFPs and customer requirements
