About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Forward Deployed Engineering to join Harvey, a company transforming legal and professional services through frontier agentic AI and an enterprise-grade platform. This role involves building a team to deliver tailored experiences for strategically important accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build, hire, and manage a team of software engineers deployed into strategic accounts
- →Define staffing models, engagement structures, and capacity allocation across accounts
- →Develop specialist pods of engineers for new verticals like M&A, litigation, and compliance
- →Maintain deep technical fluency to scope custom builds and evaluate solutions
- →Identify patterns across client engagements to influence Harvey's core platform
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5+ years leading teams
- ✓Deep familiarity with LLM application development and agent architectures
- ✓Experience building and scaling technical teams
- ✓Exceptional communication skills for both engineers and C-suite clients
- ✓Low ego, high accountability with comfort in client problem-solving and board presentations
