About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer, Agents to join Harvey, a company transforming legal and professional services through frontier agentic AI. This role involves building systems that make AI agents indispensable to legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with customers and PMs to understand legal workflows and design practical evaluations
- →Optimize agent performance through prompt engineering, model selection, and tool design
- →Work with model infra team to design infrastructure for low-latency agent execution
- →Improve observability and instrumentation to profile agent behavior
- →Stay current on developments in agentic systems and bring learnings to products
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of software engineering experience (post-BS/MS)
- ✓Proficiency in Python and experience with LLM APIs and agent frameworks
- ✓Experience with shipping user-facing products, either on the backend or full-stack
- ✓Passion for building effective domain-specific agents
- ✓Iterative mindset with ability to develop proof of concepts and ship v0s
- ✓Comfortable using evaluations to drive quality
- ✓Humble and adaptable about code and frameworks
