About UsΒ
Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally are using Hawkβs powerful combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve the effectiveness of their AML compliance and fraud prevention by identifying more crime while maximizing efficiency by reducing false positives. With our solution, we are playing a vital role in the global fight against Money Laundering, Fraud, or the financing of terrorism. We offer a culture of mutual trust, support and passion β while providing individuals with opportunities to grow professionally and make a difference in the world.Β
Your Mission
As a Senior UX/UI Engineer at Hawk, your mission is to design, architect, and
build the user experience for our next-generation, AI-powered Anti-Money-
Laundering platformβspecifically focusing on our new agentic AI Investigation
Agent and other new agentic products. You will operate at the critical intersection
of UI, UX, and Product, shaping the vision for how human analysts interact with
autonomous AI workflows. You will draft and implement cutting-edge UX
capabilities for complex case management, customer-centric data views, and
dynamic grouping, ensuring that AI-driven insights are surfaced intuitively. This
is a high-ownership role requiring you to look at problems holistically, establish
best-in-class human-machine interfaces, and deliver scalable, high-quality
frontend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the UX strategy, design, and end-to-end frontend implementation for completely new product capabilities, including our agentic AI workflow automation and case management tools.
- Build strong, intuitive human/machine interfaces that effectively surface complex agentic AI results and explainability metrics, making fraud and AML data actionable for human analysts.
- Lead the development of complex UI topics, such as comprehensive 360-degree customer-centric views (aggregating key metrics across different systems) and dynamic entity grouping workflows.
- Architect and build scalable, maintainable frontend components using React. You will leverage shadcn/ui for our newest solutions (like the Investigation Agent) while maintaining and bridging components in our existing Material UI ecosystem.
- Step outside the traditional "developer box." Partner closely with Product Management, Backend Engineering (FastAPI/LangGraph), and Data Science to shape the product roadmap, translate user needs into technical reality, and question the
"why" behind features.
- Actively leverage and champion the use of agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Google Antigravity) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and establish modern engineering workflows.
- Support strategic decision-making, establish frontend coding/design best practices, and ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across the application suite.
Your Profile
- 4+ years of software development and UI/UX design experience.
(Note: We are open to exceptional candidates with 2-3 years of experience if they
demonstrate a remarkably strong track record).
- Proven experience working seamlessly at the intersection of UI engineering, UX design, and product strategy. You can conceptualize a user journey and write the code to make it real.
- Deep expertise in frontend development using React. Strong hands-on experience architecting and bridging modern design systems and component librariesβspecifically shadcn/ui and Material UIβis highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement user interfaces for data-heavy, B2B, or enterprise applications (e.g., workflow automation, analytics dashboards, or case management systems).
- Hands-on experience and comfort utilizing modern AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor etc.) as an integrated part of your daily development workflow.
- Excellent holistic thinking and problem-solving skills. You are a self-starter who helps shape the product vision rather than just executing pre-defined tickets.
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset, capable of articulating design decisions and technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Committed to user-centric design and delivering applications
