WHAT THE JOB IS ALL ABOUT >>
We are looking for an exceptional individual with a proven track record in complex operational and management roles to lead the delivery of our AFC project. AFC is a strategically significant customer, and is a key pillar of our global football operations. We are provide world-class Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Referee Communications, Goal Line Technology (GLT), Semi Automatic Offside (SAO), Electronic Performance and Tracking Systems (EPTS) and Medical Video Review Systems (MVRS), services across a variety of elite mens and womens AFC competitions and tournaments in football.
This full-time role is responsible for leading the AFC team in managing, implementing and operating our services, as well as working with our customer to ensure the smooth running of football technologies. The role will also have P&L responsibility for all project spend and billings. The role will work closely with the Operations Director for Football Events, focusing strongly on implementing Hawk-Eyeβs vision to grow the business and exploit new operational models and technologies for this customer.
The role is likely to include travel across the AFC region (Middle East, Far East and Australasia) for client meetings, on-site visits and operations. There will be an expectation to work hours and days consistent with AFC match fixtures / seasonal peaks.
RESPONSIBILITIES Β»
P&L
- In close consultation with the Operations Director, manage the P&L within the region, including forecasting, budgeting, client invoicing and cost control.
- Work with other stakeholders to implement any change in processes to streamline them, including recharges, invoice approvals, direct cost management and accrual monitoring.
- Ensure appropriate efficiencies are realised across the P&L to maintain, or reduce, the cost base.
Operations
- In consultation with the Operations Director and HRBP continually review the operational model, striking the right balance between efficiency, client satisfaction, operational excellence and profitability.
- Work with the Operations Director, and other regional leads across the region to define and maintain effective SLAβs for all internal services.
- Create an environment that enables our people and technologies to succeed, championing the Hawk-Eye Guarantee.
- Fully understand the contractual agreements and SLAs with AFC, and ensure that they are delivered in full.
- Manage any issues arising from operations and proactively minimise their effect on the client and the team, briefing senior management where appropriate.
- Implement new ways of working that provide operational efficiencies, including the use of technology.
Technology, Growth & Business Planning
- Liaise directly with the client for small to medium sized sale opportunities.
- Work with the commercial team and others as appropriate when bidding for large scale projects and responses to RFPs.
- Work with the Events technical team to identify areas for improvements in the development of the technology and champion its implementation
Client Relationships
- Be the main points of contact with the AFC and other stakeholders for contractual delivery.
- Build the reputation of Hawk-Eye with AFC and their associated stakeholders
Leadership
- Provide leadership, development and support to the AFC project team, ensuring training is effective, personal objectives are clear and there is a common strategy to success that stems from broader business objectives and methods, and is understood by all.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Considerable experience in operational management
- Demonstrable experience in a time-pressured and challenging environment
- Experience in financial budgeting forecast and cost control
- Ability to communicate well, and bring people along with you

- Confident and approachable leadership style and the ability to lead and grow the

The expected salary range for this role is AUD80,000 to AUD120,000
