The Gig
The purpose of this Digital Media Sales Manager role is to drive revenue growth through the sale of Healthengine's digital media products, including eDMS, consumer newsletters, display advertising, campaigns and Practice store advertising, to agencies, pharmaceutical companies, government health bodies, and direct advertisers. 
You will own the end-to-end sales cycle for these products, build deep relationships with digital media agencies, and position Healthengine's unique health-audience reach as a premium advertising channel across pharma, government health, consumer health, and allied health verticals.
Responsibilities:
β’ Digital Media Sales and Revenue Growth:
β’ Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to grow media revenue from agencies, pharmaceutical companies, government health departments, consumer health brands, and direct advertisers.
β’ Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of media sales opportunities using Insertion Orders and campaign briefs aligned with Healthengine's media proposition and audience reach.
β’ Manage both project-based campaign sales (e.g. seasonal flu, vaccination awareness, clinical trial recruitment) and ongoing/recurring media placements to build a stable, growing revenue base.
β’ Agency and Advertiser Relationship Management:
β’ Build and nurture deep relationships with digital media agencies, and strategically expand partnerships (e.g. media planning, buying, and specialist health agencies) to grow share of wallet across pharmaceutical, government, and consumer health clients. 
β’ Act as the primary point of contact for agency partners, understanding their campaign objectives, briefing cycles, and media planning workflows, and matching them with Healthengine's media inventory and audience capabilities.
β’ Campaign Consultation and Solution Selling:
β’ Conduct needs analyses with agencies and advertisers to understand campaign goals (awareness, lead generation, HCP engagement), target audiences (consumers or healthcare providers), and success metrics (CPM, CPL, CTR, open rates).
β’ Develop tailored media proposals and packages β combining eDM, display, newsletter, and performance products as appropriate β to deliver measurable campaign outcomes.
β’ Present compelling media kits, audience insights, and post-campaign performance reports to win new business and secure renewals.
β’ Pipeline Management and Forecasting:
β’ Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in Salesforce, tracking all media sales opportunities from brief/lead through to signed Insertion Order and campaign delivery.
β’ Forecast media revenue accurately across Signed IOs, Ongoing Campaigns, Performance Campaigns, and Pipeline, and consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
β’ Cross-Functional Collaboration:
β’ Work closely with the Content and Marketing teams to ensure media products (eDMs, blog content, newsletter placements) are delivered to a high standard and aligned with advertiser expectations.
β’ Collaborate with Product and Engineering on display advertising capabilities, platform ad placements, and new media product development.
β’ Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure smooth campaign execution, billing (including monthly and quarterly invoicing), and reporting.
β’ Provide market feedback to leadership on media pricing, competitive landscape, agency trends, and emerging digital media opportunities.About You

Experience youβll bring:
β’ 5+ years of experience in digital media sales, with a strong preference for candidates who have sold eDMs/email campaigns, digital display advertising, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, or performance/lead generation (CPL) campaigns.
β’ Proven track record of meeting or exceeding media revenue targets and closing deals with agencies and direct advertisers.
β’ Direct experience working with digital media agencies is essential β understanding agency buying processes, Insertion Order workflows, campaign briefing cycles, and media planning is a must-have.
β’ Prior experience in a digital media sales role at a publisher, ad network, health media platform, or digital health/wellness media company is highly preferred.
β’ Experience selling to pharmaceutical companies, government health bodies, or healthcare advertisers is a strong advantage.
β’ Experience managing a portfolio of both project-based (campaign) and ongoing/recurring media revenue is preferred.
β’ Hands-on experience with Braze for campaign execution, audience segmentation, and eDM delivery.
β’ Proficiency with Google Ad Manager (GAM) for managing display ad inventory, trafficking campaigns, and reporting on ad performance.
β’ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Adobe Experience Cloud tools for working with creative assets, campaign analytics, and digital content workflows.
β’ Proficiency with CRM tools β Salesforce and/or HubSpot β for managing media sales pipelines, IO tracking, and revenue forecasting.
β’ Strong ability to analyse campaign data, build compelling media proposals, and articulate ROI to agency and advertiser clients.Additional Information
