About the Role
We are looking for a senior engineer to join our New Ventures team at HelloFresh, focused on growing our global footprint by launching core products in new markets. You'll work with a globally distributed team across 7+ brands in 15+ countries, building desirable products and engaging experiences in the e-commerce and supply chain space around food.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable back-end services, focusing on distributed architecture and microservices.
- →Lead the migration of critical services from monolithic architecture to a microservices framework.
- →Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- →Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for pricing services.
- →Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- →Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
Requirements
- ✓Experience in software engineering with a strong focus on back-end development and system architecture.
- ✓Proficiency in back-end technologies and programming languages (e.g., Go, Java).
- ✓Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- ✓Hands-on experience in migrating applications from monolithic architectures to microservices.
- ✓Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- ✓Solid experience in Agile development practices.
- ✓Strong mentorship abilities and communication skills.
