About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SDET 3 to join our Marketplace Team. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable marketplace solutions through API testing and automation. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to drive testing strategies and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs and web applications
- →Lead API testing efforts, including functional, integration, regression, and contract testing
- →Build and enhance API automation suites with robust validation and reporting
- →Develop end-to-end automation using Playwright with TypeScript
- →Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code following best practices
- →Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
- →Drive shift-left testing practices and ensure test coverage early in the development lifecycle
- →Review test cases and automation code, and provide mentorship to junior SDETs
- →Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and ensure automation runs as part of release pipelines
- →Proactively identify quality risks and drive improvements in testing strategies and processes
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of experience in Software Testing or SDET roles
- ✓Strong expertise in API testing, including REST, JSON, HTTP, and authentication mechanisms
- ✓Proven experience in API automation frameworks
- ✓Excellent coding skills with TypeScript or JavaScript
- ✓Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation
- ✓Strong understanding of test design patterns, automation best practices, and SDET principles
- ✓Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST clients
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- ✓Solid understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies
