About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Neon One, a leader in nonprofit software since 2004. This role involves strengthening and evolving the foundation of our nonprofit platform, primarily working within PHP/Laravel applications.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build Core PHP Solutions: Develop and enhance features within our PHP/Laravel applications
- →Support Modernization Efforts: Assist in extending existing services and integrating with serverless and Node.js-based architecture
- →Contribute to UI/UX Consistency: Implement interfaces using Vue.js and PrimeVue
- →Maintain Quality & Security: Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
- →Collaborate on Implementation: Partner with Architecture, Product, and Design teams
- →Leverage AI Tools: Utilize AI tools like Copilot and Cursor for development
Requirements
- ✓2–4 years of production-quality software development experience, with a focus on PHP/Laravel
- ✓Solid hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel in a production environment
- ✓Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL technologies
- ✓Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, or modern front-end frameworks
- ✓Comfort using AI-assisted development tools or willingness to adopt agent-based coding workflows
- ✓Team-oriented engineer who works effectively with cross-functional partners
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience
