About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead AI Developer to join Hitachi Digital, a company at the forefront of digital transformation. This role involves spearheading new AI initiatives and strengthening Agentic AI capabilities, with a primary focus on GCP and Gemini Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and implement production-grade AI models, agents, and algorithms using Agentic AI frameworks
- →Lead delivery of Gemini Enterprise solutions, defining agent roles, toolchains, and safety guardrails
- →Drive new AI initiatives across OpCos and corporate functions
- →Enhance and scale current Agentic AI capabilities for improved performance and efficiency
- →Implement RAG pipelines for document ingestion, embeddings, vector search, grounding, and citations
- →Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business teams to translate requirements into AI features
- →Establish LLMOps/MLOps practices and AI Ops observability
- →Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis
- →Produce clear technical documentation and mentor junior engineers
- →Stay current on the latest developments in LLMs/SLMs and evaluation methodologies
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field
- ✓7+ years in AI/ML development, including production delivery of LLM-powered applications
- ✓Hands-on experience with Gemini Enterprise in real-world deployments
- ✓Deep experience with Agentic AI frameworks
- ✓Primary experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Vertex AI
- ✓Strong programming skills in Python and one of Java/C++/TypeScript
- ✓Prior experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- ✓Practical expertise with AI/ML frameworks and NLP techniques
- ✓Solid understanding of MLOps/LLMOps and AI Ops
- ✓Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication skills
