About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Development Engineer to join our fast-growing SaaS company, Hive. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining critical services and integrations that power our product ecosystem, enabling exceptional customer experiences at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build robust backend services that enable Hive's marketing platform to scale
- →Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and production support
- →Build and optimize high-throughput data pipelines processing billions of customer data points
- →Collaborate with product teams to design scalable APIs and integrate with external platforms like Ticketmaster and Shopify
- →Enhance application performance and reliability across the stack
- →Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability for the services you build
Requirements
- ✓7+ years building backend services and APIs at scale
- ✓Strong experience with AWS (or similar cloud platforms)
- ✓Demonstrated expertise in Python/Django, database design, API design, distributed systems
- ✓Experience owning production services, including participating in on-call rotations and incident response
- ✓Experience with high-volume data processing and real-time systems
- ✓Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and explain complex technical concepts clearly
