About the Role
Hive is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their engineering team. This role involves building and shipping software for a marketing platform that powers events, festivals, and venues across North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new features, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build new features that users will love, continuously refining them based on feedback.
- →Contribute to code reviews, technical spec reviews, and architectural decision-making.
- →Take responsibility and ownership of projects from start to finish.
- →Find solutions to optimize bottlenecks and improve system-wide performance.
- →Collaborate with team members on designing scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
- →Work directly with the customer success team to solve customer-impacting problems.
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience building highly performant web applications.
- ✓Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement, and iterate on high-impact end-to-end product experiences.
- ✓Ability to clearly explain complex things you’ve built to others, identifying tradeoffs and hard problems solved.
- ✓Experience working on a shared codebase and articulating effective communication, development processes, and tooling.
- ✓Thrive in remote settings, excelling in async communication, independent work, and time management.
- ✓Legally able to work within Canada.
