About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our Platform Organization at Housecall Pro. This role involves leading two foundational squads: Search Platform and Identity & Access Management (IAM), which build the technical foundations that enable product and domain teams to ship safely and at pace.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and manage two platform engineering squads: Search Platform and IAM
- →Drive the technical and strategic direction for search infrastructure and identity & access management
- →Partner with your Director and Staff Engineers to shape architecture decisions
- →Enable domain teams through clear APIs, documentation, and hands-on consultation
- →Mentor and develop senior and staff-level engineers
- →Monitor team health, progress, and delivery
- →Champion observability, developer experience, and operational excellence
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of experience in software engineering
- ✓4+ years in a people leadership or management role
- ✓Hands-on experience with AI and LLM-based tools
- ✓Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks
- ✓Familiarity with search technologies and identity/access management patterns
- ✓Experience with distributed systems architecture and high-traffic applications
- ✓Proven track record of delivering complex software projects
- ✓Experience enabling teams through APIs, documentation, and developer tooling
- ✓Fluency in both Polish and English
