About the Role
HubSpot is seeking a Content Marketer & Editor to join their in-house Freelance Network team. This role will be responsible for editing content, preparing assignments for freelance writers, supporting Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) initiatives, and using AI infrastructure to improve the program.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as a key point of contact for freelance blog contributors, answering editorial and SEO/AEO questions
- →Edit 15+ contributor posts each week for grammar, HubSpot style guide compliance, brief compliance, structure, and accuracy
- →Onboard and train new writers, providing detailed feedback and assessing which contributors will join the freelancer roster
- →Deliver regular feedback to contributors on editorial standards, voice, and content strategy alignment
- →Assist with managing Freelance Network operations, including tracking output and managing the team’s assignment pipeline in Asana
- →Proofread and fact-check AI-generated product pages to support AEO experiments
- →Create training materials and educate contributors on content best practices
- →Review and adapt assignment briefs for blog posts that clearly communicate expectations
Requirements
- ✓Strong skills as a content editor
- ✓Experience with SEO and AEO
- ✓Knowledge of HubSpot style guide and editorial standards
- ✓Ability to manage external subject matter experts and writers
- ✓Experience with AI infrastructure and its application in content creation
- ✓Familiarity with Asana for project management
