About the Role
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Transactional Surveillance Technology team at Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. This role involves building and maintaining automated testing infrastructure that ensures reliability across systems processing over 1 billion order events daily, directly impacting market fairness and security.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build scalable testing frameworks for confident deployment and high system reliability
- →Design comprehensive test suites covering unit, integration, and acceptance testing
- →Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle
- →Provide metrics and reporting on test coverage, quality trends, and system reliability
- →Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for test infrastructure
- →Develop data quality checks to ensure integrity across pipelines and databases
- →Investigate and triage test failures, working with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field
- ✓3+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding skills (Python required)
- ✓Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, etc.)
- ✓Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- ✓Experience with version control systems (git)
- ✓Solid foundation in testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
- ✓Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- ✓Self-motivated with ability to drive projects independently
