YOUR IMPACT: - You will build a new, unprecedented way to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation down to the application / pod level, identifying easily blocking pathways of attacks in the container ecosystem - You will understand and enhance modern container platforms such as Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE etc. - You will have the opportunity to own and design critical features and subsystems, work out all the details, and defend the design before your peers. - You will deliver a rock-solid implementation that is elegant, simple, scalable, stable, secure, and supportable. Our product protects the critical infrastructure of large enterprises. It must work. - You will also mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers and become productive members of the team. - You will have the opportunity to work with the field organization and key customers to shape this novel product. YOUR TOOLKIT: - Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree. Master’s degree a plus - 8+ years building distributed & scalable software systems. - Proficient in at least one higher-level language such as Go, Python , Java, etc. - Experience building large, distributed, and scalable software systems. - Familiarity with, and passion for Kubernetes and related technologies. - Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging skills. - Experience with networking and security controls is a plus - General TCP/IP networking knowledge - Unix/Linux programming environment experience #LI-KD1 #LI-ONSITE Our Commitment: Illumio believes that an environment of unique backgrounds, experiences, viewpoints, and individual contributions drives our success and makes us stronger together.
