About the Role
Ingram Content Group is seeking a Content Manager to join their team in LaVergne, TN. This role involves maintaining profitable vendor relations and identifying, analyzing, and negotiating the procurement of stocked inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- βMakes buying decisions on products for an assigned group of publishers.
- βAnalyzes and reviews current publisher activities within the ICG Service offerings and evaluates and recommends business opportunities to match ICG Services to vendor short- and long-term goals.
- βWorks to ensure the efficient and accurate use of technology to procure, forecast new and reorder inventory needs, allocations, returns and warehouse transfers from within company overstock.
- βAnalyzes various vendor activity reports for key performance indicators and recommends the activities to ensure enhanced financial performance and profit contribution.
- βEnsures vendors are engaged in the appropriate ICG Products and Services.
- βReviews available reporting to ensure maximum profitability regularly.
- βDirects vendor activities to meet strategic goals and objectives.
Requirements
- βBachelorβs Degree or Equivalent B2B Management experience in either publishing, wholesale or retail bookselling
- βMinimum 3 yearsβ progressive experience in 3 or more of the following: Team Management, Purchasing, Sales, Distribution, Inventory Management, Project Management and maintaining significant supplier relationships.
- βAccount Management experience
- βExperience analyzing inventory data
- βExperience negotiating with vendors
