About the Role
Inkitt is seeking an Opening Scenes Editor to join our creative team. You will be responsible for re-cutting and restructuring opening scenes for vertical drama episodes to maximize viewer retention and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- →Re-cut opening scenes from existing vertical drama episodes to maximize viewer retention
- →Identify the core emotional hook of an episode and restructure the intro to instantly tease that payoff
- →Create 3 to 5 different opening hooks for A/B testing to determine the highest story performance
- →Apply social-native tactics using fast-paced cuts, impactful sound design, and text overlays
- →Pitch creative ideas based on current short-form trends and viewer psychology
Requirements
- ✓Strong portfolio of short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
- ✓Understanding of narrative structure to take a story out of chronological order
- ✓Highly skilled in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut (desktop)
- ✓Strong grasp of sound design and pacing
- ✓Understanding of retention graphs and viewer drop-off points
