About the Role
We are looking for a Health Data Scientist to join Inovalon, a healthcare technology company. This role involves leading complex data extracts, programming, and analytical modeling to support internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead teams of health services researchers and business analysts to draw insights from large healthcare datasets
- →Develop solutions for strategic business problems using high-level modeling and statistical analyses
- →Perform advanced data extraction, transformation, and management using SQL
- →Identify, develop, and test hypotheses to support research and product offerings
- →Respond to complex operational data requests and create ad-hoc queries
- →Collaborate with various Inovalon teams to resolve data issues and improve processes
- →Troubleshoot production-related issues and coordinate resolutions
- →Evaluate data analytic vendors and tools
- →Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies and HIPAA requirements
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of professional experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries
- ✓Health Economics Outcomes Research experience
- ✓Strong SQL programming skills and experience with statistical analysis tools
- ✓Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills
- ✓Understanding of database management tools like Hadoop, Hive, or MapReduce
- ✓Excellent analytical and communication skills
- ✓Advanced knowledge of healthcare, health policy, and related issues
- ✓Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
