About the Role
We are looking for a Health Data Scientist to join Inovalon's Health Data Science Team. This role involves leading complex data extracts, programming, and analytical modeling to support internal and external clients in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead collaborative efforts with product leads to draw insights from large healthcare datasets
- →Develop solutions for strategic business problems using high-level modeling and statistical analyses
- →Perform advanced-level data extraction, transformation, and management using SQL
- →Identify, develop, and test hypotheses to support research and product offerings
- →Respond to complex operational data requests and create ad-hoc queries
- →Work with Enterprise Data Platform teams to resolve data issues and improve data processes
- →Evaluate data analytic vendors and tools
- →Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies and HIPAA requirements
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of professional experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries
- ✓Strong SQL programming skills and experience with statistical analysis tools (SAS, R, Python)
- ✓Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills
- ✓Business analytical skills and understanding of design and architecture principles
- ✓Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently on multiple projects
- ✓Excellent analytical skills and communication abilities
- ✓Advanced knowledge of healthcare, health policy, pharmaceutical, and related issues
- ✓Master’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
