WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple, concurrent custom software solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget for our clients in the Canvas LMS ecosystem.
- Cultivate high-trust partnerships with clients by providing proactive communication, managing expectations, and effectively handling changes through sophisticated change management.
- Drive collaboration among cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholdersβsuch as Solutions Architecture, Engineering, UI/UX, QA, Customer Success, and Salesβto deliver on complex technical requirements and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Oversee full project lifecycles, implementing robust risk mitigation strategies and ensuring accountability in every development phase.
- Use enterprise tools (Salesforce, JIRA, Smartsheet, Confluence, PSA software) to maintain data integrity and provide executive-level reporting on project performance, resource use, and financials.
- Develop a strong knowledge of Instructureβs product suite and act as a strategic advisor for custom development and services opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW/HAVE:
- 5+ years of experience as a lead Project Manager in technical environments, managing high-stakes, client-facing custom software projects.
- Deep understanding of both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies, especially within fixed-scope/fixed-fee engagements.
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Information Systems, or related discipline; PMP or Scrum Master certifications preferred.
- Strong technical literacy related to the software development life cycle and experience with software integrations, APIs, and LTI standards.
- Demonstrated ability to use Generative AI tools to automate status reporting, documentation, and streamline project delivery.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, professional stamina, and operational excellence within fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Collaborative and adaptive approach, with a history of fostering positive, high-performance team cultures.
- Experience in the LMS/EdTech industry or professional services in custom SaaS solutions is highly desirable.
