About the Role

Intrinsic is seeking highly motivated and talented interns to join our team and contribute to our open-source robotics middleware initiatives. This role focuses on developing high-performance visualization tools and improving developer experience for next-generation robotics tooling.

Key Responsibilities

→Develop high-performance visualization tools for our Site Editor using Rust and the Bevy game engine
→Implement interactive zone editing and spatio-temporal visualizations to help operators understand robot fleet allocation in real-time
→Contribute directly to open-source robotics projects within the Open-RMF ecosystem
→Bridge the gap between robotics data and visual feedback by leveraging rclrs
→Solve interesting challenges in computational geometry and 3D rendering to create intuitive interfaces
→Collaborate with the open-source community and internal teams to improve developer experience

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s student in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
✓Proficiency in Rust or C++ with a strong desire to learn Rust quickly
✓Interest or experience in Simulation, Game Development or Computer Graphics
✓Familiarity with ROS 2 or willingness to learn internal mechanics via rclrs
✓Strong understanding of 3D math and geometry required for site editing tools
✓Enthusiasm for Open Source software; previous contributions to open-source projects are highly valued
