The Staff Product Manager will be responsible for product management of novel robotic platforms and technologies. This includes executing high-impact future oriented projects to elevate the capabilities of future platforms, working closely with customers to capture voice of customer and translate research and insights into user needs. Interface with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Clinical Development Engineering and Engineering to create product requirements and represent the customer through the Product Development Process (PDP), manage trade- offs and prepare new products for commercial launch. This role takes ownership in strategic planning, representing the voice of the customer to the organization, and acting as a leader in product development efforts. Working across multiple product franchises, in multiple geographies, and in collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders across Product Operations and Commercial functions, this individual also will have a unique breadth and story-telling platform, tying the value-proposition of multiple products into a cohesive and compelling story that ranges across the portfolio lifecycle (from launch to end-of-life).

Strategic Roadmap & Clinical Insight
β’ Architect and Lead the long-term product roadmap, balancing desirability and technical feasibility with Intuitiveβs multi-year strategic objectives.
β’ Synthesize Complex Clinical Data: Cultivate a deep expertise in emerging clinical spaces by integrating clinical literature, medical society trends, design interaction, usability assessments and high-level engagements with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
β’ Drive Business Justification: Develop robust, data-driven investment cases for new initiatives and product development, securing executive-level alignment on prioritization and resource allocation.
β’ Market Intelligence: Monitor and anticipate shifts in the competitive landscape, identifying emerging and complementary technologies that impact the broader Intuitive portfolio.
β’ Insight Generation: Design and direct sophisticated qualitative and quantitative researchβincluding patient, HCP, and payer observationsβto extract high-value insights that steer product direction.Product Design, Development, and Lifecycle Lead
β’ Visionary Product Definition: Propose next-generation systems and services that solve complex, unmet customer needs while hitting long-term commercial targets. Draft and develop product requirements based on user needs.
β’ Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead high-visibility projects through the full product development lifecycle, bridging the gap between Market Requirements (MRD) and technical Product Requirements (PRD).
β’ Strategic Trade-off Management: Facilitate and resolve high-stakes negotiations regarding product scope and performance, ensuring alignment between engineering, product and clinical teams. Clear understanding of the Jobs to Be Done framework.
β’ Commercial Strategy: Establish global product positioning, product claims, clinical claims, and messaging; spearhead market research to inform global pricing and reimbursement strategies.
β’ Global Launch Excellence: Oversee the execution of complex worldwide product rollouts, managing cross-functional teams to ensure seamless commercial readiness and operational scale.
β’ Success Metrics: Define and monitor KPIs for product adoption and clinical impact, utilizing pre-clinical evidence, clinical study data, in-market learning and post-launch feedback to iterate on the future portfolio.Business Analysis & Portfolio Optimization
β’ Opportunity Assessment: Identify and validate high-potential product investigations by modeling total addressable market (TAM), serviceable addressable market (SAM) and annualized serviceable obtainable market (SOM) to quantify patient/provider benefits.
β’ Value Engineering: Evaluate customer value-proposition and "willingness to pay" for disruptive concepts, ensuring a balance between advanced performance and cost-effectiveness.
β’ Organizational Alignment: Ensure all product investments are optimized for ROI and consistent with the companyβs broader financial and quality goals.Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
β’ Technology Scouting: Collaborate with Engineering and Corporate Development to evaluate M&A or licensing opportunities, prioritizing the business development pipeline based on strategic fit and technical merit.
β’ Internal Evangelism: Serve as a subject matter expert across the organization, helping to bridge the gap between technical innovation and commercial execution.
