Since then, we have worked on successive waves of technological change, including distributed computing, high-speed automation, enterprise UX and digital distribution, DevOps, cloud and data science. Today, we are an established partner in financial markets, having delivered hundreds of projects for clients including all the world’s tier-one investment banks and many of the largest buy-side firms globally.   We are looking for a Senior AI Copilot & Agent Platform Engineer, Mexico City to design, build, and operationalize Microsoft Copilot–based solutions that seamlessly integrate with complex enterprise ecosystems. This role sits at the intersection of agentic AI, low-code platforms, and enterprise-grade engineering, requiring both hands-on technical depth and architectural judgment.   The role is a hybrid one, requiring 1 day per week at the office in Central Mexico City (Insurgentes Sur). What you’ll do • Design and implement intelligent Copilot and Agent 365 solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and the Power Platform • Build agent workflows that leverage tool calling, orchestration, and state management to support complex business processes • Integrate Copilot-based agents with internal enterprise systems and third-party services via APIs, custom connectors, and service endpoints • Bridge low-code and pro-code approaches, enabling Copilot Studio solutions to extend into custom services, cloud platforms, and backend systems • Apply enterprise-grade security, identity, and governance patterns, including authentication, authorization, data access controls, and approvals • Establish robust testing, observability, and quality controls for agent-based systems, including logging, validation, monitoring, and outcome analysis • Collaborate with product, design, and client teams to translate real-world business problems into scalable, agent-driven solutions • Contribute to architectural standards, reusable patterns, and best practices for agentic AI at LAB49 • Be ready to be at the office in Central Mexico (Insurgentes Sur) 1 day per week What you bring • Hands-on experience building complex solutions with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agent 365, or Power Platform technologies (a must) • Practical experience implementing security, identity, and governance controls in production systems (a must) • Proven experience integrating software systems using APIs, custom connectors, and event-driven services (a must) • Strong understanding of agent architectures, including orchestration, tool invocation, and state management • Solid grounding in enterprise security and identity concepts, including authentication, authorization, and governance controls • Ability to comfortably operate across low-code and traditional software engineering environments • Strong English communication skills (C1+) and a consulting mindset, with comfort working directly with stakeholders and clients (a must) • Experience in financial services or other regulated enterprise environments (preferred) Why LAB49 LAB49 is an established partner for most financial institutions on Wall Street.
