About the Role
We are looking for a Design Manager to join our Communications team at Jane. This is a hybrid player-coach role where you'll spend 60% on hands-on product design and 40% on people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- →Elevate quality and cohesion across Communications flows and surfaces
- →Define and own key patterns for the area, improving predictability and polish
- →Run high-signal critiques and QA rituals that improve velocity and outcomes
- →Align roadmaps with PM and Dev partners, unblocking work and clarifying trade-offs
- →Develop designers through clear growth plans, feedback, and coaching
Requirements
- ✓Senior or above craft depth with a portfolio showing clarity and systems thinking
- ✓Proven ability to lead end-to-end discovery and translate insights into outcomes
- ✓Experience mentoring or managing designers, including running 1:1s
- ✓Strength in cross-functional leadership with PM and Engineering
- ✓Comfort owning design operations and standards for your product area
